Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
Fake news is a term referring to false news stories that are distributed by either mainstream or alternative media outlets. Like the CIA-invented term “conspiracy theorist,” fake news is also used as a pejorative by the establishment media and the Deep State to paint anyone not in agreement with officialdom as a scam artist, sensationalist, or domestic terrorist. In effect, fake news is the new Scarlet Letter, employing social ridicule and out-group manipulations to ostracize anyone with information that could be hazardous to the agenda of the Deep State. The reality is that the mainstream media is arguably the worst offender of pushing fake news stories, reference Operation Mocking Bird. The preceding article not only highlights the fake news meme but it presents a series of stories from the mainstream media that are clearly fake news. With this information in hand, one can develop a comprehension of how information sequestration or reality management takes place, through an exposé of fake news from 2018. It should be noted that fake news is itself a form of propaganda, mind-influencing media for the purpose of satisfying some agenda. Therefore, by understanding the specific nature of any fake news item one can get a glimpse into the agenda and methods of the Deep State.
