Nor is it an accident that a rather Hollywood version of Satanism has emerged in the past 50 years, which leads many to believe it’s nothing more than a quant, yet twisted, belief system. But in truth, the satanic agenda stretches much further back into history. And in particular, the tenant held by adherents to LaVeyan Satanism to do things that “offend God, and cause anguish” is directly tied to an earlier Sabbatean concept that seeks to glorify sin and suffering.
The Sabbateans were a sect of reformist Jews who were inspired by a self-proclaimed messiah, Sabbatai Zevi. The philosophy of this reformist movement centered around a set of prophecies related to the return of God to earth that would come in either great times of sin or great times of virtue. Zevi asserted that “since we can’t all be saints, let us be sinners” implying that instead of trying to make the world good and virtuous they should work hard to offend God and create as much hardship as possible.

This same group later became the Frankists, converted to Islam, Christianity, and Judaism as crypto adherents, and founded the Bavarian Order of the Illuminati in 1776. An examination of their writings reveals that these Satanists were working tirelessly to infiltrate almost every aspect of society so that they could reform it in their twisted image of debauchery. And by all accounts, they succeeded, and are now entrenched in almost every aspect of society as generational satanists—although they don’t refer to themselves as such. In my estimation, the hedonistic nihilism that characterizes the 20th and most especially, the 21st century, is no doubt influenced by the machinations of these dark occultists.

The question as to why more and more people are falling prey to this insidious ideology, I posit, is possibly due to the rampant moral relativism, nihilism, atheism, and propensity for the materialism of the modern age. The psychological effect of constant subtle influencing from media, tv, and music, combined with the neurological alterations that come from using modern technology, particularly pornography, lead people to justify a self-serving way of living. Part of the problem with video games, phones, and modern technology, in general, is the instant gratification mindset developed by using it. This behavior literally changes your neurology such that you experience less empathy and are more selfish—which is one of the biggest tenets of Satanism. Consider the rise in obesity, mental health issues, and related life problems of millennials, which some contend, is evidence of a sharp increase in narcissism.
Make no mistake, if one examines the values and philosophy of Satanism, a well-established propaganda and marketing campaign to indoctrinate people is at work in society at large. The average person embodies some form of a satanic ideal, although they often don’t know it—moral relativism being one of the easiest to identify.
In short, many subtle yet powerful influences have been socially engineering society for decades, the effects of which, are becoming more apparent with each passing year. The powers that be are patent and work their plans over decades and centuries of time. Fortunately, a counterculture is also emerging alongside this indulgence prone mainstream population. It seems the more inauthentic and materialistic the masses become, and this is showcased by the media, the more others begin to see it for what it is and align themselves in the opposite direction.

Of course most have joined various Satanic groups for spiritual reasons. Today there is a tremendous spiritual hunger in America, but Americans are also leaving traditional churches at a staggering pace. People are looking for authenticity, but they aren’t finding it in the traditional places, and so many are seeking out new options.
Unfortunately, an increasing number of Americans are deciding that Satanism is the answer, and that is a very, very troubling sign.
