Mysticism, in a holistic sense, is the practice of harmonizing consciousness to the universe via entrainment processes or “tuning,” providing the practitioner increasingly palpable direct appreciation of the spiritual realities underlying the illusions of the material world.
The term divine refers to “god or the creator,” which in its many applications on Earth is contextually representative of total unity and coordination of all things. When one makes contact with “the divine” they are consciously aware of the interconnectedness of all things, also known as unity or “christ” consciousness.
Symbols such as the flower of life are archetypal images that—through their geometric correspondence to the divine and the metaphysical (hyperspace) realities of the cosmos—help in the process of tuning the mind to become an antenna or focal point for subjective appreciation of all that is.
In the process of consciousness tuning, one must ferret out disharmonies or what Carl Jung called doing shadow work. As such, if one encounters “fearful” impressions of feelings during such a process, it is arguably a healing response. Those deeper aspects of one’s beingness—that are suppressed in the main through life on Earth—rise to the surface so that the conscious mind can dispel their illusory nature through integration.
“The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.” (source) — Carl G. Jung
All fear, in this sense, is only a temporary state of being that can sometimes occur when an individual turns away from mystery or the unknown. Symbolically, darkness is representative of the lack of knowledge, wisdom, or attainment, and light is the transmutation of such by way of conscious integration. A single candle flame can dispel a room “filled with darkness.”
Thoth, in the Emerald Tablets, revealed the purpose of the incarnative experience in evolving the consciousness of the children of Earth by way of what has been called inner-alchemy:
“First I shall speak of the fetters of darkness which bind ye in chains to the sphere of the Earth. Darkness and light are both of one nature, different only in seeming, for each arose from the source of all. Darkness is disorder. Light is Order. Darkness transmuted is light of the Light. This, my children, your purpose in being; transmutation of darkness to light.” — Thoth, the Atlantean (source)
The inter-dimensional nature of the Flower of Life, as a reflection of unity and divine perfection, provides a venue for the unconsciousness of the evolving soul to find the light. It the great work of cosmic evolution, which is replete within the human experience of everyday life as much as it is deeply enfolded into the universe of all things and beings.

- Enlarge the black and white image on your computer screen, or print out an enlarged version and attach it to a wall.
- State your intention to yourself that you are only willing to encounter the highest vibrational energy, for the highest good of all, as you do the practice.*
- Sit back 1 to 3 feet from the image and face it.
- Relax and breathe long and deep.
- Allow your eyes to go into soft focus while gazing at the image.
- Try not to focus at a set point, rather allow your subconscious to take the whole image in at once.
- The image may appear fuzzy or go out of focus. This is fine.
- Allow images to come through the design, knowing that whatever comes through does so for your highest good.
- When you are finished, take some time and record your impressions. Note how you feel, what thought flashed through your mind, or what you saw.
- Try the practice regularly to allow the chance for varying results to occur.
