When we talk about wealth consciousness, it is important for us to realize that it is much more than the physical accumulation of monetary value. It is more than money, as a truly wealthy person is not focused on money alone. It is a mindset that allows for us to see beauty, feel gratitude, and trust in the process of life. True wealth consciousness and affluence is to be totally carefree about everything in life, including money.

At a deeper level, we know all situations are helping us to grow, and thus leading us to our ultimate goals and desires. In wealth consciousness, we know that life is not a struggle, and that with effortless ease all our needs are being met. In this conscious awareness, we are able to open our hearts to life, and we are able to truly have an ultimate knowing that everything we need comes to us at the exact right time.

As Deepak Chopra explains, “Affluence is the experience in which our needs are easily met and our desires spontaneously fulfilled. We feel joy, health, happiness, and vitality in every moment of our existence.” Just as the human body creates a thought, so too does nature create a galaxy of stars or a forest. Affluence is a natural state of being grounded in reality, where we truly know we can create anything, as all material creation has the same origin. Yes, we can create unlimited material wealth just as we too can fulfill any desire we have.

Let us look at our thoughts. Our thoughts are so powerful. They are quite literally impulses of energy carrying information we experience. Indeed, as Deepak states, “those same impulses are the raw material of the Universe. To think a thought is to practice not only brain chemistry, but body chemistry. Every thought you have, every idea you entertain, sends a chemical message to the core of cellular awareness.”

Putting attention on a word, which is symbolically the expression of an idea, truly does transform the invisible into the visible. What we choose to think can help us move into more abundance. It can also do the opposite, which is why it is so important for us to be mindful of what we choose to think. As Louise Hay explains, “the Universe can only respond to what you believe about yourself and your life. Examine whatever negative thoughts you have about money, and then decide to release them and let them go.”

What if throughout the day, we repeated a few mantras internally? These could be:

“My income is constantly increasing. Money flows to me effortlessly.

I prosper wherever I turn.”

Upon rising in the morning, and before bed, we can say these as affirmations while looking into the mirror and into our eyes. It is quite amazing to then begin to take it a step further by realizing how you feel when you say these words while looking into your soul. By recognizing how it feels, you can then begin to understand if you have any challenges around the potential of creating affluence in your life by being open to addressing whatever comes up for yourself. We must be patient with ourselves during this process, and keep loving all that arises within, including ourselves.

So, how does prosperity, abundance and affluence feel for you? What does it look like? How would it smell and taste? What would you see in your life? When you visualize how it looks, and how you experience it through all your senses, you can combine the mantras and affirmations in conjunction with the feeling and visualization.

Finally, live all of that as if it is already a part of your life. Feel gratitude and appreciation for all, and see beauty wherever you may be. Even in the most desolate of situations, we have a choice to see that which nourishes or that which destroys. That which we choose to focus on will, indeed, with time, expand. Choose your focus and your attitudes towards life with great mindfulness.

If anything comes up for you, allow it to surface, and try to understand the feeling. The first step to making any kind of change is to acknowledge the existence of that which you are ready to shift. No matter what arises, embrace it with loving compassion. We are all moving into a new state of being.
