(Martin Walsh) Former Trump official Mercedes Schlapp tore into Democratic strategist Laura Fink over Hunter Biden’s laptop.

While on “The Faulkner Focus,” host Harris Faulkner asked Fink whether President Joe Biden has “been compromised by anything that his son would have done?”
“Look, there is absolutely no connection between Hunter Biden’s businesses and nothing has ever been unearthed to suggest that as in your reporting, Harris, suggests as well,” Fink said.
“There is not a connection,” she continued. “What Americans see in Hunter Biden especially women can relate to. This was a well-connected wealthy guy that had access and got paid millions for doing a bad job at what he was paid to do .”
Faulkner jumped in, asking Fink whether she believed “this is a gender thing?”
“No, I think all Americans can relate to it. When you are well connected, but especially women because we see it a lot. Americans can relate to that but as to what it has to do with the Biden presidency I would say very little. I think this headache is really more of a right-wing conservative journalism hangover,” Fink said.
Schlapp then jumped in and did not hold back.
“Oh please, please. No, no, Harris, I have to respond. I was on the presidential campaign with President Trump and when we brought up the questions about Hunter Biden and the laptops and the emails that the New York Post had leaked exclusively the Washington Post refused to verify for months and then they told us on the campaign we couldn’t bring up Hunter Biden because they were like ‘it could be part of a Russian misinformation campaign’. That’s a disservice to the American people when the mainstream media are not-”
Fink responded: “Did you give them the drive, did you give them the laptop?”
“They refused to question and cover the news and they refused to let us speak about this issue on air,” Schlapp responded.
“I am sorry what was your question?” Schlapp asked as Fink again asked if she gave “[The Washington Post] the drive.”
“Oh, please. Are you serious? Are you seriously asking me that question? Give me a break,” Schlapp responded, before going on to say, “liberal media refused to cover this because as you know their goal was they always hated Donald Trump, they weren’t going to give Donald Trump a fair shake, and they wanted Joe Biden in the White House.”

Intelligence experts, the media, and big tech are going to have some explaining to do when it comes to the reasons they spiked the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 presidential election if the Republicans, as anticipated, win back the majority in the House in the 2022 midterm elections.
Republican California Rep. Darrell Issa said that letters to preserve evidence will be sent to set the stage for subpoenas and an investigation into why the story was smacked down.
The representative is likely to head the House Oversight and Reform Committee if the Republicans win back the House and would be in charge of the investigation if it happened.
“What I can’t live with,” he said, “is the fact that when the New York Post, one of the oldest print newspapers in the country, founded in 1801, comes out with credible evidence, which they can show how they got it, what their sources were — there were no hidden sources on this — they not only got shut down by … Facebook and Twitter but they got shut down by the New York Times, by public broadcasting, by virtually everyone.
“And they were shut down by having more than 50 of the most informed people in the intelligence world all saying that they knew that this was false information. That is a conspiracy of monumental size,” the representative said.
“That is where we’re asking to have the evidence preserved,” he said. “And when we receive the ability to subpoena again … on the anticipation that the House will return to the [GOP] majority, this is an investigation that has to be done, because shutting down the First Amendment is now a pattern of new media. But it’s also becoming a pattern of old media. And there aren’t very many older than the New York Times.”
The media, including The New York Times, have started to admit that the laptop is genuine but it is long after the election.
A letter signed by the former intelligence officials has even cited a debate President Joe Biden had with former President Donald Trump.
