Maureen Steele: “After January 6th, all of us knew better than to hit DC proper” | The People’s Convoy, American Freedom Convoy

(Justin Deschamps) American Freedom Convoy organizer, Maureen Steele, of The People’s Convoy, went on Bannon’s War Room this past Sunday to clear the air about rumors patriotic truckers will be headed to Washington DC. This comes amid concern that such a move could trigger extreme measures by the Biden administration.

Steele is a representative of the thepeoplesconvoy.org, who dispelled the rumor that the American Freedom Convoy, inspired by their northern counterparts in the Candian Freedom Convoy, is heading to the US capitol in DC.

“We’re not going into DC proper. We never had the intention of going into DC proper,” she responded when asked by Steve Bannon what lessons they learned from the Canadain Freedom Convoy.  “That was never our end game that was never our goal,” Steele later said.

“It’s interesting. Just the thought of us coming into DC proper they going into lockdown,” as Steele responded to Banon’s remarks about the “imperial city”, Washington DC, erecting fences ahead of fears of unrest as Biden’s State of the Union Address is slated to occur on March 1st.

“After January 6th, all of us knew better than to hit DC proper.”

Steele assures listeners that the People’s Convoy has taken steps to ensure their activities are legal and law-abiding.

“We have lawyers onboard. We’re doing everything we can to get our messaging campaign heard but to do it lawfully,” she said. She further states that “… in a way that’s going to be difficult for them to put a finger on—well you violated this law or, you know, you did this wrong, therefore… we’re trying to be very cautious about that.”

Steele went on to say that patriots have volunteered land for convoy parking and rest stops, this way, no public land will be used that might be a cause for justification of crackdowns by various governments as they proceed across the American countryside.
