) FBI ‘mystery man’ Ray Epps, who was seen on video provoking people to storm the capitol, will provide a transcribed interview on Friday. The development was reported by Politico.Related Is Ray Epps The Key To Uncovering a Deep State Conspiracy?

“Ray Epps, a former Arizona Oath Keeper at the center of pro-Trump conspiracy theories related to Jan. 6., intends to sit for a transcribed interview with the select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol,” Politico reported.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a Republican representative who is on his way out of Congress due to redistricting, confirmed the news that Epps plans to sit for a transcribed interview.
“I know this will break some hearts,” Kinzinger said on Twitter. “For a few months, people like Tucker Carlson, MTG, Gaetz, and now Cruz have been ‘just asking questions’ about a man named Ray Epps.”
“He was on video the day before Jan 6 saying ‘we’re going INTO the capitol!’ The some in the crowd chanted ‘fed fed fed.’ Why? Who knows, maybe they knew he was videoed talking about breaking into the Capitol the day before it was to happen and wanted to create distance?” he said.
“Regardless, he was put on the FBI wanted list, then removed,” Kinzinger added. “Because of all of that, the conspiracy that he was an FBI agent has been gospel on the blogs and shows. -side note- this is why we have to address conspiracies not ignore them. He didn’t enter the Capitol on Jan 6, and was removed from the most wanted list because apparently he broke no laws.”
“I’m pretty sure the FBI wouldn’t be dumb enough to put their own agent on a wanted list,” he added. “Ray Epps has cooperated with the Jan 6 committee and we thank him on the broader issue.”
“Let’s say Ray was an agent (HE IS NOT), the premise is that one agent can gin up a crowd to insurrection,” he continued. “That isn’t saying much about the intelligence of your voters is it Ted? The rioters had formal education, owned businesses etc. they knew.”
“An FBI informant is someone that is paid by or turned by law enforcement as they build broader cases,” he went on. “Informants are usually criminals that turn to save their own butt. An informant is not an agent.”
“But Ted wants you to think it is. RAY is NO informant either,” Kinzinger concluded. “The narrative on Jan 6 has been that it’s first antifa, or patriots who love their country, maybe crisis actors, def false flag operatives, or now FBI agents. Take your pick. Truth is they were rioters incited by lies. And RAY is no fed. Just another misled man. While it may break hearts, it’s true. So many are misled by so few. Just look up.”
The timing of the interview and the way the Epps case has been handled has nonetheless raised questions among professional journalists.
Tucker Carlson has raised some red flags about Epps’ video-recorded suspect behavior, as well as Kinzinger going out of his way to protect him.

Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald does not buy the official version about Epps’ involvement.
So the definitive statements made by Adam Kinzinger swallowed by the media about how Ray Epps never worked with FBI were based not no sworn testimony but just "informal meetings" with the Committee, and the denial was confined just to FBI, not all government agencies? LOL. https://t.co/ZyOxmkIDke

“So the definitive statements made by Adam Kinzinger swallowed by the media about how Ray Epps never worked with FBI were based not no sworn testimony but just ‘informal meetings’ with the Committee, and the denial was confined just to FBI, not all government agencies?” Greenwald commented. “LOL.”
A new report provides an excuse for why the FBI put Epps on the “most wanted list” and then surreptitiously took him off without an arrest — despite similar January 6 cases being prosecuted.
“Epps, who has become the centerpiece of an unsupported GOP claim that the FBI incited the mob that ransacked the Capitol last year, met with the Jan. 6 select committee in November and told them he had no relationship to the FBI or any other federal law enforcement agency,” Kyle Cheney reported. “But the meeting was just a precursor to a more-formal transcribed interview this week, said Epps’ lawyer John Blischak.”
“Blischak said he expected more details of Epps’ involvement to become public soon thereafter,” the Politico report added.
“Epps has kept a low profile since former President Donald Trump’s allies began promoting a theory that Epps was a federal agent and helped foment the attack,” the Politico report went on. “Their claims stem from videos taken on Jan. 5 showing Epps urging Trump allies to ‘go into the Capitol’ — an exhortation that some in the crowd quickly booed and responded to with chants accusing Epps of being a ‘fed.’ Epps quickly added that it should be done ‘peacefully’.”

“Epps was also seen in footage just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 6 at the front of a line of Trump supporters who were among the first to breach the Capitol barricades,” Politico notes. “He whispered something into the ear of Ryan Samsel, who has been charged as one of the first defendants to breach secured Capitol grounds. Moments later, Samsel and others charged through a barricade, injuring a Capitol Police officer on the other side.”
Ray Epps was thus among the very first people to instigate the January 6 riot. Here he appears to be giving instructions to a clean-cut, athletic young man, whom we later find out is Ryan Samsel.
“But Epps did not appear to join in the violence and his lawyer says ‘he was never in the Capitol building’ — key factors in the Justice Department’s charging decisions,” the report adds.
Epps was on an FBI “most wanted list” until he was then quietly scrubbed. On January 8, the FBI field office tweeted out a photo that included a man who appears to be Epps. It seems he can be seen in Photograph #16 at the bottom left of the tweet series.

The FBI’s before-and-after scrubbing screenshots can be seen below:
As Revolver News points out, those suspects who were arrested get an “Arrested” label put underneath their photos. However, Epps’ photo was outright deleted from the page. This is suspect.
The report also points out that not only did Epps instruct his “commandos and the crowds at his attention to rush into the Capitol,” but he also “assiduously protected cops and law enforcement so no local or federal officers would be harmed during the precision breaches.”
You can see this inconsistent behavior in the video below.
The New York Times also seems to have misled readers in an attempt to give Epps cover. On June 30th, the New York Times published a piece entitled Inside the Capitol Riot: An Exclusive Video Investigation. Revolver notes the Times told an outright lie about Ray Epps:
Ray Epps, an Arizona man seen in widely-circulated videos telling Trump supporters on multiple occasions to go into the Capitol, also seemed to have acted on his own.
The claim that Epps “seemed to have acted on his own” is a lie betrayed by the videos themselves, which show him coordinating with others at the Capitol riots.
The new Politico report addresses the issue of why the FBI inexplicably removed Epps from its most wanted poster.
“[Epps’ lawyer] Blischak told POLITICO that the reason Epps was removed was, in part, because he was no longer an unidentified suspect,” he said. “Rather, he called the FBI on Jan. 8 and ‘explained his position’ after a relative informed him that he had been the subject of news reporting related to the riot, Blischak said.”
“Blischak said he had no knowledge about why it took several months for the FBI to remove Epps’ face from its ‘wanted’ database,” the report added.
Rep. Thomas Massie, among other Republican congressional members, has questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland about whether there was any FBI provocation involved in the Jan. 6 riots.
