The National Pulse reported on the updated numbers for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through November 2021.
“Since the onset of COVID-19, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has sent over $54 million to fund “global health” projects in China, including to institutions controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Wuhan Institute of Virology collaborators, The National Pulse can reveal,” the article led in.
“Since December 2019, the Foundation has sent a total of 93 grants adding up to $54,573,428 to China-based projects,” the National Pulse report noted. The Gates Foundation contributions to mostly CCP-run bodies are listed below.
“Among the grant recipients are several CCP-run institutions including Beijing Normal University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and official regime bodies including the Ministry of Agriculture, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Ministry of Science and Technology.”
“Wuhan University received a $127,650 grant from the Foundation in January 2021, despite the school routinely collaborating with the Wuhan Institute of Virology on research, including studies focusing on bat coronaviruses funded by Anthony Fauci,” the report added.
Bill Gates’ ties with China go back to before the Covid-19 pandemic. The Microsoft co-founder met the Communist Party leader Xi Jinping in 2015.
Bill Gates’ meeting with Xi Jinping in 2015 regarded “public health service.” It preceded the Chinese government seeking to expand what it insidiously called a “global information society.” The Chinese embassy in the U.S. gave its account of the meeting:
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is ready to intensify cooperation with China in public health service.
On the same day, Xi Jinping met with Secretary-general Zhao Houlin of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Xi Jinping pointed out that China has taken an active part in the work of the ITU and devotes itself to working with all other members to promote the development of global information society. It is hoped that the ITU could work to forge a more open, effective and vigorous union by seizing the current significant opportunity of integration, innovation as well as rapid development of information technology. Zhao Houlin expressed the gratitude to China for its support to the work of the ITU and said that the ITU will constantly boost its cooperation with China.
Gates’ ongoing aid to China persisted throughout the global pandemic, which China deliberately hid from the world while it spread internationally. The billions of dollars Gates gave to the CCP were so appreciated that Xi Jinping personally wrote Gates a ‘thank you’ note. Bloomberg reported:
Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his sincere gratitude to Bill and Melinda Gates for their foundation’s support to China after the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Xi thanked the foundation for its “generous support” provided at a critical juncture, in a letter to Bill Gates posted by the official Xinhua news agency.
Xi complimented the foundation’s early efforts in the global cause of fighting against the virus and said he was grateful for a letter from Gates expressing support for the Chinese people.
“Unity and cooperation is the most powerful weapon” in the battle against the virus, Xi said in the letter. The Communist leader was “indicating his support for the Gates Foundation’s coordination with Chinese agencies on the ground,” Bloomberg noted.
The Tech Billionaire gave the Chinese millions of dollars despite the nation being one of the very few to have profited relative to the rest of the world during to the Covid pandemic.
Bill Gates isn’t the only Tech Billionaire whose cooperation with an oppressive totalitarian regime should be raising red flags across the Internet. In September 2015, Facebook’s CEO and Founder, met with Xi Jinping and gave him a tour of the company’s headquarters.
“Microsoft has plenty of problems in China,” the NY Times noted. “Its operating systems are the most popular in China, but they are also the most likely to be stolen, causing billions of dollars in losses. And Chinese government bans on procurement of Windows 8 causes further losses. Microsoft recently released Windows 10 and is awaiting government approval in China. Will the company’s hospitality to Mr. Xi, and his powerful Internet czar, help clear the way for Windows 10?”
“Facebook is now shut out of China, with its irresistible market of 600 million internet users, creating a black spot in Mark Zuckerberg’s dream of making Facebook a global social network,” the Times reported in 2015. “Will Facebook end up being the biggest beneficiary of face time with Mr. Xi? Mr. Zuckerberg spoke with the president in Mandarin for what seemed like at least a minute when Mr. Xi greeted him before photos with tech industry leaders at Microsoft. (It was an elite crowd that included Apple’s Timothy D. Cook, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and IBM’s Virginia Rometty).”
“From where reporters were standing in the back of the room, Mr. Zuckerberg’s chat was more than a cursory ‘ni hao’ and we could hear the distinct sounds of Mr. Zuckerberg’s accent floating to the back of the room,” the Times added. “But we couldn’t decipher what he was saying. Did he just ask Mr. Xi outright for entry in the market?”
Facebook is doing more than building a ‘global information society’ with China, where tech companies control what political information is allowed to be seen by users. It is also essentially rigging elections with partisan ‘contributions’ to Democrat GOTV drives. The Tech Giant’s intervention in the 2020 election made a big impact, the Capital Research Center pointed out.
“Many Americans now know that Facebook founder and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg interfered in the 2020 election, pouring $350 million into an obscure Chicago-based nonprofit that redistributed the funds to county elections officials nationwide. What they might not know is just how widespread those grants were,” the Capital Research Center said.
“Meet the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), a group that burst into prominence after Zuckerberg increased the tiny nonprofit’s revenues—just $1.4 million in 2018—by a bewildering 24,900 percent in the lead-up to the 2020 election. CTCL used its newfound fortune to funnel five-, six-, seven-, even eight-figure grants to the government officials responsible for administering the 2020 election—with devastating results for Republicans,” the report continued.
The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway also notes the ways that Big Tech giants took a page out of the Communist Chinese playbook during the 2020 election by banning one of the presidential candidates from all major social media platforms.
“[Mark] Zuckerberg didn’t just help Democrats by censoring their political opponents,” Hemingway wrote. “He directly funded liberal groups running partisan get-out-the-vote operations. In fact, he helped those groups infiltrate election offices in key swing states by doling out large grants to crucial districts. That funding was the means by which [Democrat] activists achieved their ‘revolution’ and changed the course of the 2020 election.”
Despite Donald Trump being exonerated according to the Constitutional process of a Senate trial, and the Department of Justice being able to ascertain any discernible plot to overturn the results of the 2020 election involving Trump, the prospective 2024 candidate is still banned from these social media platforms.
Communist China would be proud.
