The purchase was very controversial considering the attention the Dominion company received following the suspect 2020 election.
The county is being charged $6.17 million up front.

For some reason, the county officials found it necessary for a controversial voting machine company to evaluate voter intent of local voters.

Stark County’s new touchscreen voting machines are rolling into the Board of Elections.
The past couple of weeks, warehouse managers have been accepting shipments of the Dominion Voting Systems ImageCast X machines – which have been a point of controversy in the county. Workers have been opening the boxes, inspecting the machines for damage and testing them.
Travis Secrest, an administrative assistant for the Board of Elections, said the equipment so far has passed all of the tests.
Many of the machines still had plastic film on their touchscreens as of last week. All 1,450 are expected to arrive by the end of August. They’re scheduled to be used for the Nov. 2 general election and during the in-person early-voting period…
…Dominion quoted a retail cost for the new voting equipment of $6.17 million upfront, plus $331,550 a year to cover the software license, the hardware warranty and some ballot printing. The state covered $3.27 million. Dominion extended a trade-in credit of $1.7 million, reducing Stark County’s upfront cost to $1.48 million.
The county will receive:
1,450 ImageCast X voting machines at $3,500 each.

Software to run the equipment for $170,000.

To determine voter intent? smdh. Back into the fire.
Voter intent? Seems to me that a voter’s intent is pretty obvious by the mark he or she makes on the piece of paper. If the paper is blank the voter’s intent was not to vote. However….the software can, undoubtedly, be manipulated to interpret a blank ballot as a vote for someone…and I don’t need a degree in computer science to know which party would receive that vote.

Well, we know how Ohio will vote in the next election, all fraud!
It was already undermined during the 2020 election. In my small town (less than 2000 people), there was a group of people I know for a fact voted for a third party candidate. The candidate was registered with the Ohio Secretary of State and should have been on the ballot. Everyone who voted for her had their votes essentially erased. In the official tally, the board of elections noted votes cast “invalid candidate.” People contacted the BoE and were told, “what does it matter, you wouldn’t have won anyway.” People like Sheila (Sam) Tiddle may not have stood a chance, but perhaps part of the reason third parties are a wasted vote is because the flock of sheeple accepts the narrative that they are a wasted vote…
I recently saw an ad here in North Carolina for techs to install new voting equipment to expand ‘democracy’. dominion was my very first thought.

Like most things in Ohio, Apathy set in. I cannot understand how the industrious pioneers who settled the Western Reserve, gave rise to the apathetic people I see in Northeast Ohio today.
