) The Biden administration has announced its plan to go door-to-door and talk to unvaccinated people, but one Republican representative is terrified of what that can mean for the future.by
“Now, they’re starting to talk about going door-to-door to be able to take vaccines to the people,” Representative Madison Cawthorn said on the first day of the Conservative Political Action Conferences (CPAC) in Dallas, TX. “Think about the mechanisms they would have to build to be able to actually execute that massive of a thing. And then think about what those mechanisms could be used for. They could then go door-to-door and take your guns, they could go door-to-door and take your Bibles.”
“If 2020 taught us one thing, authoritarianism is on the rise,” he said in an interview with the Right Side Broadcasting Network on Friday.
Biden’s idea to go door to door to talk to people about getting vaccinated is terrifying to many conservatives and civil libertarians who do not want some big government dystopian world.
“We need to go to community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood, and oftentimes, door to door — literally knocking on doors — to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus. Look, equity, equality, it remains at the heart of our responsibility of ensuring the communities that are the hardest hit by the virus have the information and the access to get vaccinated,” Biden said on Tuesday.
“So, as we shift from the centralized mass vaccination sites where we were doing thousands of people a day, we’re going to put even more emphasis on getting vaccinated, in your community, close to home, conveniently, and in a location you’re already familiar with,” he said.
Can you imagine how the government would even gather that type of information, and if it can gather that so simply what else can it gather?
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has revealed a terrifying prospect for the administration to handle those people who have not gotten their COVID-19 vaccinations and that is door-to-door visits.
Psaki announced on Tuesday that the administration has a plan to go “door-to-door” to convince people to get their vaccines.
“After the president is briefed by his Covid-19 response team this afternoon, he will speak to the American people about the strong progress the country has made in recovery, because of its robust vaccination campaign,” she said.
WATCH:
“As well as the importance of every eligible American getting vaccinated, especially as the delta variant continues to grow among unvaccinated people across the country. By the end of the week, the U.S. will be nearing 160 million people fully vaccinated. Which is critically important, that fully vaccinated people are protected against the delta variant,” Psaki said.
“He stressed how the administration shall continue its efforts to get Americans vaccinated and to make vaccines available and respond to hotspots. The president will outline five areas his team is focused on to get more Americans vaccinated,” she said before dropping the bomb.
“One, targeted by community door-to-door outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need on how both safe and accessible the vaccine is,” she said.
Wow. Can you imagine that. A brigade of government workers coming to your door like religious zealots looking to convert you?
Imagine answering that knock on the door and having someone ask you if you have a minute to talk about vaccines. This is government overreach on steroids.
But that was not all Psaki has to say about vaccines.
Another reporter asked Psaki if the White House was frustrated by having the vaccine and still having some people not want to take them.
“We don’t have the luxury of feeling frustrated or feeling upset about individuals not getting the vaccine. What our responsibility is, it’s to ensure we are applying best practices, whether that’s working with doctors and pediatricians or — or addressing access, mobile vaccine clinics or ensuring that people know that they could take time off of work and even working with employers to make the vaccine accessible,” she said.
“It is ultimately up to individuals, and we certainly recognize that as well. But we’re going to continue to press as hard as we can to use the best practices to continue to increase the vaccination rates around the country,” she said.
