Full Moon in Scorpio Chart

Today, Monday, April 26th, the moon is currently in Scorpio, approaching a perfect opposition to the Sun in Taurus at 11:31pm EST, which is when the moon can be seen at its fullest. We also have a Venus, Uranus, and Mercury stellium team in Taurus, adding their significant energies to this already powerful alignment!
Taurus gives us substance to hold on to
Venus, planet of values and relationships, opposing the moon (our emotions) indicates a pull between balancing our own needs and the needs of others. To make the most of this energy, we would do well to overcome any discomfort in social situations, particularly by opening up to the understanding of the natural giving and receiving in relating, and especially by listening to our feelings and intuitions, guiding us toward what feels right in these areas.
Mental and Emotional Unity
Mercury, planet of thoughts and communication, is also conjunct Venus, helping to offset or soften the gravity of the full moon’s pull, giving us clarity of mind and insight to stay centered and see the bigger picture, while we also find a deeper desire to be of service, without losing ourselves in the process. A blending and balancing of our mind, thoughts and dynamics of our relationships is strongly indicated, as we also see and release old shadows illuminated by this full Scorpio moon, namely those that are ready to be purged from our psyche, having outlived their usefulness.
Illuminated and Awakening
Both the Sun and Venus are conjunct Uranus, the rebellious awakener, and this is a powerhouse of energy giving us the grace of justice (Venus), with the illuminated (Sun) & lightning bolt (Uranus) of the liberation of fully shining in the glorious light of our unique, authentic self. From this highly charged activation, we are creating a revolutionized new space in ourselves and the world, finding balance between our feelings and intellect, through a greater understanding and acceptance of both, beyond previously conceived limitations.
The Moon as Mother and Life-Giver
The moon is sextile Vesta, the Goddess Asteroid of our Higher-Calling, providing insight into our daily rituals that can support our continued evolution on the ever-deepening soul path. We can benefit from this aspect by seeing wherever we are able to implement ritual for our emotional and spiritual well being. Meditation, water healing, and deep emotional introspection are great approaches for this full moon, with its rebirthing Scorpio energy in particular. The moon is also in a trine with Mars, planet of energy and ambition, and because of the harmony of the trine and these heavenly bodies, we are likely feeling a sense of strong emotional confidence to rise to the challenges in our lives, by recognizing the opportunities the challenges present and making the most out of them.
Resolving Residues of Soul Tension
The Sun and moon are both in an opposition with one another as well as (T) squaring Saturn, planet of duty and effort, setting a stage of challenge with how we express ourselves and possibly being attached to our visions looking only one way. The resolution of the double tension of two squares present here is found in the one chart point not actively expressed, which is in the sign energy of Leo. The key comes through our creativity and not getting stuck in our emotions or expectations of how things should be, but rather glowing and flowing with the dance of creation and the constant ebb and flow that life naturally represents.
A Passionate Slow burn into our own Soul
Pluto, planet of death and regeneration and modern ruler of Scorpio, is stationing to retrograde tomorrow at 4pm EST, while also in a semisquare (45° angle) with the south node of the moon, which represents our karmic past and previous life experiences. When a planet retrogrades its energy becomes externally muted, and internalized, with much more reflection, indicating this full moon to be a trigger of sorts to encourage us deeper within our own regeneration capacity.
The more we can allow ourselves that exploration and inquiry, the better we can uncover what secrets lay awaiting discovery over the next few months of Pluto’s retrograde motion. Life’s journey can be frustrating at times, but the ability to achieve long-held deep, soul goals is available, we just have to be able to embrace that sometimes upheavals accompany our opportunities to achieve, and transmute any such roadblocks into the fuel for the fire of our passionate, soul’s true expression.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
Astrology is an ancient form of psychology coupled with theology, based on the assumption that your life path and personality is influenced by the positions of the stars. In modern times, this ancient school of thought has come under much scrutiny, and rightfully so, given it has been the bastion of charlatans and scam artists. But there appears to be something real at work. Epistemologically, if a body of claimed knowledge provides predicting power, if it’s useful and pragmatic, then it suggests there’s some truth to it. Astrology is also a taxonomy—an arbitrary system of organizing phenomena for ease of use and comprehension in human life. The preceding article discusses astrology, providing food for thought about subtle influences. This information is helpful to contemplate because it is a topic of subtle and holistic connections, which is a topic close to the concept of the Creator and a creation made for a purpose. Additionally, because astrology is difficult to prove objectively, yet provides valid objective descriptions of reality, it is an excellent subject to study to expand one’s thinking and exercises holistic philosophy skills. With the ability to recognize subtle interconnected realities, one has the power to gain much wisdom and even approach Creator-consciousness if one maintains an open mind and a critical discerning eye.
