That’s because when it comes to protecting his state from an onslaught of illegal immigrants, he tends not to play games. According to Newsmax, in a recent radio interview, Cruz charged Biden with launching one of the most “radical” immigration policies in American history.
”They have proposed allowing every single person who was deported from this country for the last four years to come back, and by the way, they don’t make exceptions for criminals, for murderers, for rapists,” Cruz said.
Cruz went on to state the obvious: Biden’s open borders policies are literally dangerous for Americans, especially those who live closer to the southern border.
“I mean, it is utterly bizarre to have a federal administration refusing to enforce the law against violent criminals,” Cruz added. “And frankly, it makes our country more dangerous. It makes Texas more dangerous.”
The Texas senator might have taken a few pages out of former President Donald Trump’s playbook when it comes to discussing illegal immigrants, reminding listeners that Republicans don’t have anything against immigrating to the United States, but that there’s clearly a wrong and right way to do it.
“We are a nation of immigrants and there are wonderful people who come here and come here legally,” Cruz told the podcast. “There’s a right way to come.”
“But today’s Democratic Party has been radicalized where they’re, you know, they’re not even willing to enforce the law against violent criminals who are committing horrific crimes,” he said.
While Biden has essentially had free reign to roll back virtually every Trump border policy that kept us safe for four years, including halting construction on the border wall, a federal judge this week blocked the Biden administration’s attempt to halt all deportations.
The injunction blocking that play is only temporary, but at least there are some sensible people in the federal court system who understand the implications and danger ahead if Biden is able to open the U.S. borders to virtually everyone who wants to come through and not face any fear of being deported, which is arguably the number one deterrent in the illegal immigrant community.
It’s truly a shame that the moment Trump leaves office, Biden and his Democrat friends intentionally put Americans at great risk with their “woke” immigration policies.
I have a feeling that after a few months, maybe a year or so of out-of-control influxes of illegals pouring across the border and consuming what limited resources are left that even Democrat voters will say enough is enough.
