STATE DEPT: Evidence Suggests COVID-19 Intentionally Created in Chinese Lab

The US State Department released an official fact sheet on Friday highlighting previously-undisclosed evidence that COVID-19 was intentionally created in Communist China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

The corporate press and institutional medical establishment have derided dissident scientists and doctors who entertained the “lab-leak hypothesis” as dangerous conspiracy theorists for the past year.

However, this new evidence shows that National File’s reporting on the subject – which has been suppressed by corporate and left-wing fear-mongers – was entirely justified.

Furthermore, this confirms for the first time suspicions laid out in a leaked intelligence report National File reported on last year.

The fact sheet lays out “three elements about COVID-19’s origin that deserve greater scrutiny“.

Here is a summary of those elements:

1. Despite Chinese Communist Party denials, there is reason to believe that WIV researchers were the first to be infected by COVID-19 in the autumn of 2019.
2.  The WIV is on record conducting research into “RaTG13, the bat coronavirus identified by the WIV in January 2020 as its closest sample to [COVID-19] (96.2% similar)” and also “research to engineer chimeric viruses” like COVID-19.
3. The WIV has, in fact, been secretly working on “classified research, including laboratory animal experiments, on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.”

In layman’s terms, these revelations suggest a very plausible scenario where Chinese researchers conducted controversial “gain-of-function” experiments in Wuhan to create a human-transmissible version of a bat coronavirus, which then accidentally infected Institute staff, leaked to the public and developed into a global pandemic which – according to current government estimates – killed over 2 million people worldwide.

The term “gain-of-function” refers to increasing an infectious agent’s function; in this case, that would be the “function” of infecting humans.

This kind of gain-of-function research is not military weaponization of infectious diseases, but the results are practically similar.

It involves studying the process of zoonosis, by which diseases infectious only to animals make the “cross-species transmission” jump to infecting humans. Horrifyingly, the way this gain-of-function research studies zoonosis is by intentionally turning animal-only diseases into human-infectious diseases in a lab.

Zoonotic viruses are particularly dangerous because they often evolve in tandem with the immune defenses of the animals they originally infected, leaving humans largely defenseless against them. The deadliest epidemics of recent years have chiefly been zoonotic, including various strains of viral hemorrhagic fever (ebolaviruses, hantaviruses etc.) and other coronaviruses (SARS, MERS).

As the science journal Nature documented in 2015, researchers at UNC Chapel Hill fueled outrage in the bioethics community after creating a different human-infectious bat coronavirus in a lab in 2014.

This kind of gain-of-function research was in vogue at the time, but a passionate minority of scientists bucked the medical research establishment’s acceptance of engineering viruses that could develop into deadly global pandemics effectively equivalent to bioweapons.

As a result of the growing negative publicity, the government banned federal funding for gain-of-function research over the persistent whining of the medical research establishment. However, the research never completely stopped and certainly lived on in China’s WIV.

Even in the strict security of American laboratories, lab leaks have been known to happen.

In just one terrifying example well-known to the animal research community, lab research monkeys are commonly infected with Herpes virus B (AKA Macacine alphaherpesvirus 1, Cercopithecine herpesvirus or “Super Herpes”). Herpes virus B is similar to common herpes viruses but carries an 80% case fatality rate as it annihilates the central nervous system. Since the virus was first identified, “50 people have been documented to have infections; 21 of them died.” As recently as 2019, a researcher in Japan contracted Herpes virus B and died.

COVID-19 is a novel chimeric virus, meaning it was supposedly the result of a situation where two separate viruses infected the same cell in the same animal at the same and their genetic material combined to produce an entirely-new functioning hybrid of the two. There are also synthetic techniques to replicate this process in a lab environment.

Until now, the establishment consensus has been that COVID-19 either formed in the unsanitary conditions of a Chinese wet market or it could have happened in the wild.

However, as dissident scientists like Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying – a husband-and-wife biologist duo with a weekly livestream – have been saying for over seven months, the lab-leak theory of COVID-19’s inception has always been plausible.

Weinstein followed the livestream above with an in-depth discussion alongside Yuri Deigin, a Toronto-based biotech entrepreneur who wrote on Medium outlining the plausibility of a lab-leak and debunking an earlier paper in Nature dismissing the possibility.

Here is a telling quote from Deigin’s article:

Considering the heights of user friendliness and automation that genetic engineering tools have attained, creating a synthetic CoV2 via the above methodology would be in reach of even a grad student.

With the publication of the State Department’s official fact sheet, the casual dismissal of the lab-leak hypothesis has been firmly put to bed.

However, it remains to be seen whether the mainstream press, incoming President Joe Biden’s notoriously pro-China team or even Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel will take these revelations seriously. Intelligence leaders have warned of extensive CCP influence operations in Washington and Biden’s own son has been under investigation since 2019 for issues related to possible CCP bribery.

China-friendly politicians and bureaucrats would be understandably loathe to finally place the blame for COVID-19 at Communist China’s feet and jeopardize the Wall Street’s lucrative relationship outsourcing American jobs to Chinese Communist companies, who often use slave labor.

Establishment Washington virulently resisted President Trump’s attempts to curb Chinese abuses and have studiously ignored all CCP scandals so far. This includes the ongoing arguable genocide of China’s ethnic Uighur minority, of whom millions have been subject to arbitrary detention in “re-education” camps, sterilization, systematic organ harvesting and slavery (including sex slavery).

As such, many powerful players in Washington have a lot to lose if this information becomes accepted as fact. This is especially true after the public has endured nearly a year of brutal lockdowns and after a recent study concluded that COVID lockdown harms are 10 times greater than their benefits.
