(Samuel Alfie) A lot of psychologists and experts in different fields always tell us some key interesting facts about meditation. It has been found that roughly 200 to 500 million people in the world meditate.

Negativity is one area that is constantly pitched in different meditation questions and answers. Negative thoughts and people are energy suckers. They need to be eliminated to live a fruitful life. There are lots of tactics to help you get rid of toxic energy coming from your external environment and your mind.

Here are 10 meditation tips to help get rid of negativity from your life.

1. Clear your energy

Clearing your external space is important for your physical well being. But, before that you need to ensure that the energy that comes from within is clear for your mental well-being. Your mind needs cleansing from the bad negative energy the same way your body needs to be cleansed.

Most of these bad vibes come from suppressing stress and hurtful emotions, which are sometimes picked from individuals at different places. It is for this reason, energy hygiene is really important in doing away with negativity.

2. Remove negative influences

Not everyone you meet has a positive influence on your personality. In fact, certain individuals can dry up your own positivity. You may not be able to avoid negative people at work or home in totality. It is thus important to take conscious steps to reduce how long you stay around them.

Be wise when choosing friends and decide whom to socialize with. Make efforts to build relationships with positive people only. Also, limit or completely avoid your association with people who tend to be abusive and unhappy most of the time.

Each day., right after you wake up, jot down the 3 things that make you feel positive about life. Make it a practice and you will see how grateful you feel about things in your life.

3. Keep your external environment clean

What strikes you about this image? How tidy it looks, right?

Surely it makes you feel like you can work with peace if your desk looks like this.

A clean and fresh smelling environment is always rejuvenating for your soul. To take out negativity from your life, you need to get rid of all the clutter from your home and office. Take the time to do some thorough cleaning.

Don’t just wash dishes and mop the floors, but let the cleaning extend to every nook and cranny. Discard all your old newspapers and documents, as well as clothes and magazines. Stop keeping old things around as they act like vessels that tend to keep negative energy trapped in.

4. Open up your windows

Opening up the windows of your house and the office promotes the free flow of light, fresh air and positive energy in the interiors To make the window area more interesting, hang colorful curtains on the windows and keep plants around.

Moreover, consider getting some quality outdoor time where you gaze at the universe and the world. Condition your mind to absorb only positive thoughts and feelings.

5. Change how you think

Buddha once said, “ What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.”

The words are absolutely true.

Be deliberate about the way you think and take time to cleanse yourself of negative thoughts. Quit dwelling on small matters because they take control of your life gradually. Don’t waste your energy to judge or complain about others.

Instead, practice more love, both for yourself and the people around you. Forgive yourself freely and realize that no one is perfect. This will prevent you from self-sabotaging over your flaws or mistakes.

6. Take a bath

This might sound weird, but an easy-to-complete activity, bathing is very effective in boosting your personal energy, while keeping you fresh and active. To spice up your bathing routine, add unrefined sea salt or essential oils to your water that can soothe your senses with their fragrance.

Just relax and soak yourself in for half an hour. Bathing this way is known to help people refresh their minds while boosting the level of vitality that they feel.

7. Get a paper and jot down all your worries

At any given moment, a lot could be going on in your mind and it can be hard to figure out what exactly you are bothered about. When you write down all that you are worried about on paper, it becomes clearer for you to understand your problems.

But when you put your problems out on something external, it helps you picture them clearly and analyze them for solutions.

8. Meditate

Did you know that meditation can help to boost the production of serotonin? This is one of the big topics for discussion concerning meditation questions and answers. Serotonin is responsible for improving your behavior and mood. That’s why regular meditation helps to decrease anxiety and clear negative thoughts while making your mind clearer and more peaceful.

When you meditate, you take active steps to give your energy system the healing that it needs. All you need to do is find a peaceful environment and start to meditate. You can also seek professional guidance for any sort of meditation question and answers.

9. Visualize

The best thing you can do when a problem starts to worry you is to visualize a positive outcome from the given situation. Visualizing positive outcomes can help to restore positive feelings and energy. Manifest what you would like to happen most in this situation.

Picture it and also try to feel the emotions that come from actualizing that end result. Try to hold onto that feeling. If you cannot locate where the negative feeling comes from, just think about something that makes you happy like your biggest dream.

10. Exercise regularly

Researchers are providing strong evidence on how exercise can help to get rid of anxiety, as well as depression and stress. Exercise or intense physical movements are known to release feel-good hormones like dopamine in our brain.

That’s why simple things like running, lifting weights, swimming, and yoga have a positive impact on your mood and overall health. No matter what, it is important to get involved in some physical activity to take away negativity from your life.

You need to get rid of negativity entirely.

Limiting beliefs and negativity can harm you in more ways than you know. Negative feelings are toxic and can reduce your joy or productivity if you do not take steps to control them.

Use the above-mentioned tips and work deliberately to get rid of these negative thoughts and feelings so that you can build confidence, positivity and build a happier life.

Negativity can also result due to an ailment. Consult a medical practitioner for any health-related query if you feel that’s the case.

The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.

What is our mission? Why do we post what we do?

Our mission here is to curate (share) articles and information that we feel is important for the evolution of consciousness. Most of that information is written or produced by other people and organizations, which means it does not represent our views or opinions as managing staff of Stillness in the Storm. Some of the content is written by one of our writers and is clearly marked accordingly. Just because we share a CNN story that speaks badly about the President doesn’t mean we’re promoting anti-POTUS views. We’re reporting on the fact as it was reported, and that this event is important for us to know so we can better contend with the challenges of gaining freedom and prosperity. Similarly, just because we share a pro/anti-[insert issue or topic] content, such as a pro-second amendment piece or an anti-military video doesn’t mean we endorse what is said. Again, information is shared on this site for the purpose of evolving consciousness. In our opinion, consciousness evolves through the process of accumulating knowledge of the truth and contemplating that knowledge to distill wisdom and improve life by discovering and incorporating holistic values. Thus, sharing information from many different sources, with many different perspectives is the best way to maximize evolution. What’s more, the mastery of mind and discernment doesn’t occur in a vacuum, it is much like the immune system, it needs regular exposure to new things to stay healthy and strong. If you have any questions as to our mission or methods please reach out to us at [email protected].
