(Patty McMurray) The usually far-left HBO Real-Time comedian Bill Maher took viewers by surprise when he shared his views with Democrat Senator Chris Coons (DE) and Atlantic staff writer Caitlin Flanagan on the COVID pandemic, vaccine, natural immunity, and on people who wear masks outdoors.

“I’m not sure what the latest Dr. Fauci thing is for Halloween because he certainly changes his mind a lot,” Maher said as he opened his segment with his two far-left guests.

“I know some people seem to not want to give up on the wonderful pandemic, but you know what? It’s over…and there’s always gonna be a variant. You shouldn’t have to wear masks! I haven’t had a meeting with my staff since March of 2020. Why?” Maher asked.

He continued with his rant, “Also …vaccine—mask—pick one! You gotta pick! You can’t make me mask if I’ve had the vaccine!”

Maher explained how he travels a lot and blasted the nonsensical mandates put in place by Democrats vs. the freedoms citizens in red states enjoy. “The red states are a joy,” Maher told his guests, adding, “And the blue states are a pain in the ass—for no reason!”

The Democrat Senator disregarded Maher’s rant about how he despises the COVID propaganda by overreaching Democrat politicians and jumped right into the importance of “vaccinating the world.”  Maher shot back, “The world recognizes natural immunity. We don’t, because everything in this country has to go through the pharmaceutical companies!” He continued, “Natural immunity is the best kind of immunity.”  Maher also defended people who have natural immunity but are being fired for refusing to get a useless vaccine. “We shouldn’t fire people who have natural immunity because they don’t get the vaccine. We should hire them. Yes?” he asked.

Maher’s guest, Caitlin Flanagan, jumped in to defend first-responders who choose not to get the vaccine and are being fired over their decisions. “And if someone’s willing to be a fireman, if someone’s willing to be a policeman, if someone’s willing to go into a burning building and says, ‘I’m just not that afraid of COVID, and I don’t want to take the vaccine,’ that should be enough,” Flanagan said. “You shouldn’t be losing a job; you shouldn’t be furloughed without pay, the guy that saves lives because he doesn’t want to take the vaccine. It’s ridiculous.”
