(Stillness in the Storm Editor) When this article was first scheduled last week it was believed that Trump was supporting the creation of a Patriot Party. This was later disproven when Trump came out and clarified that he is in fact not supporting the party. This post is therefore retracted but will stay up to ensure others are not confused.
Note: We here at Stillness in the Storm will always report what we know at the time (about all sorts of topics and stories) and post updates and retractions when necessary.

(Anthony T) 2020 and 2021 have shown us that most members of the Republican party are just as deep in the swamp as the Democrats.
by Anthony T, January 20th, 2021
President Trump has taken notice and a recent report from the WSJ has come out and said that Trump is discussing plans to form a new party called the “Patriot Party”.
After McConnell’s latest statements accusing Trump of inciting an insurrection, it looks like the Republican Party is on its last breath.
A new “Patriot Party” led by President Trump could truly upset the apple cart and dethrone swamp creatures in our nation’s Capitol once and for all.
Trump has talked in recent days about forming a new political party that he'd call the "Patriot Party." Any effort would likely face intense opposition from Republicans, who would chafe at the thought of Trump peeling off support from GOP candidates. https://t.co/5LD3JmsYye

The Wall Street Journal exclusively broke the story:
President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter…
Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.
Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

Many people believe the new party would split too many votes and cause the Democrats to take over.
Others would be eager to join and believe it could be the beginning of draining the swamp rats from both the Democratic and Republican Parties.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
The news is important to all people because it is where we come to know new things about the world, which leads to the development of more life goals that lead to life wisdom. The news also serves as a social connection tool, as we tend to relate to those who know about and believe the things we do. With the power of an open truth-seeking mind in hand, the individual can grow wise and the collective can prosper.

Maggie Haberman spread this false rumor around the news rooms.
Facts:
. On January 22, 2021, Patriot Party filed a Form 1 (Statement of Organization) listing DJTFP as a participant in purported joint fundraising activities under 11 C.F.R. 102.17,” Donald J. Trump for President Inc., the Trump’s official campaign committee, said in a filing. “DJTFP did not authorize the filing of this Form 1, has not entered into any joint fundraising agreement to fundraise through Patriot Party, and has no knowledge of Patriot Party’s activities whatsoever.”
“To be clear: DJTFP has no affiliation with Patriot Party, which is not authorized by Mr. Trump or DJTFP,” the filing continued. “DJTFP is placing this disavowal notice on the public record out of concern for confusion among the public, which may be misled to believe that Patriot Party’s activities have been authorized by Mr. Trump or DJTFP — or that contributions to this unauthorized committee are being made to DJTFP — when that is not true.”
A Trump spokesperson said in a statement, “We are not supportive of this effort, have nothing to do with it and only know about it through public reporting.”
Bloomberg News reported that Trump “has no plans to break from the Republican Party to pursue a third party.”
Yes we saw that. This post was scheduled earlier this week. We have posted a retraction. Thanks
