(Adam AstroYogi Sanchez) What is the significance of the Great Conjunctions of Saturn and Jupiter this Solstice?
by Adam Sanchez, December 23rd, 2020
With Saturn now in the sign of Aquarius for the next 2.5 years, and Jupiter for little over a year, We are about to end and start a new cycle between these two greatest planetary bodies in our solar system.
Saturn is our Structure and our Limits
With Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, the earth element, and this it’s home sign energy, we are discussing structures, rules, regulations, systems, and even our own egoic structures and the structures of the mind. Capricorn gone crazy turns into the need to control everything out of fear and scapegoating, and this is why Saturn is also associated with one of the greatest scapegoats, Satan, and how this control energy can eat us alive if we allow it.
Jupiter Glows and Grows
Jupiter, the ruler of Fiery Sagittarius, is the most expansive of all the planets, as well as highly radiant, and symbolizes blessings, growth, free-spirits, higher ideals, universal truth and adventure. This planet and its ruling energy in Sagittarius, represent the rebirth of our consciousness after passing through the death crucible of Scorpio and the dark nights of the soul, which evolve that denser consciousness to ultimately expand and see the bigger picture.
Breaking Free in Aquarius
In Aquarius, we move beyond visible structures and move into the invisible and that which cannot be perceived by the naked eye, requiring a finer and higher sense to be able to perceive. This is where cosmic consciousness is able to transcend the limits of space and matter and physical reality that Capricorn structures represent. Both Aquarius and it’s ruler Uranus represent the revolution and breakdown of those structures which do not serve the collective advancement, and only represent entrenched egoic and self-binding structures that must ultimately be surrendered or changed in order for progress to happen.
Aquarius represents the genius of thinking outside of the box and the limits or constraints of conventional societal mindsets and mental systems. This is the sign of the weirdos or unicorns; resonant with those that break outside of the egoic box, and its highly limiting, capricornian externalization of authority. This is where we forge new paths into the unknown that expand the reaches of our consciousness and universe. This includes going beyond entrenched dogmatic or rigid consensus, scientism, or any “ism” or system that only serves to perpetuate itself for its own sake, rather than assimilate new information or advancement.
Remembering the Rebellion in Reclaiming the Power of the True Self
Aquarius is where we claim the truth of the inner-genius and the eureka of our own Higher Consciousness communicating to us directly, in our own unique way, bringing forth the ever-original and never-before-seen. As mentioned, this includes cosmic or universal consciousness where our mind no longer knows or sees limitations, and is able to reach out into the vastness of space–even beyond time–and perceive the multiplicity in the vastness of infinity.
Power to the people comes with Jupiter’s blessings meeting with Saturn’s structure. We are sure to see more than one kind of combination of these archetypical energies, from increase to the power of these structures themselves, like big brother style governmental surveillance increasing, but also with the potentials for that to actually help society when used with humanistic values, and not sidestepping them for technocratic capricornian control. We may also see some of these structures holding on for dear life, gasping for breath, with some remnants of the plutonian drag of this energy, until pluto finally leaves Capricorn for good in 2024. Pluto will then spend a total of 20 years in Aquarius, the sign of revolution, particularly revolutions of consciousness itself.
New Paths of Highest Purpose
With the Great Conjunction coinciding with the 2020 winter solstice, the symbolic significance of rebirth and a new future is especially magnified. Particularly as we embark deeper into the decade of the 2020’s, we are setting the tone for a whole new universe ahead of us in this dawning age of technology/innovation, that will lead us into previously unimagined realities. As the world and our vision of it expands, so too do the possibilities of our mind and the freedoms it can inspire us to reach.
As we break off the chains in exactly the way Aquarius loves us to do, we stand up and claim our individuality and willingness to be different, in knowing that those differences are what makes us valuable and able to contribute in a way that no one else possibly could. As we each give ourselves permission to be as “out there” as we need to be, we overcome those controlling mechanisms within our own mind that can limit our glorious weirdness. When we finally and fully claim it through our own inner-liberation, we then turn what was once rejected as lead, into something Golden, for the highest benefit of all.

Stillness in the Storm Editor: Why did we post this?
Astrology is an ancient form of psychology coupled with theology, based on the assumption that your life path and personality are influenced by the positions of the stars. In modern times, this ancient school of thought has come under much scrutiny, and rightfully so, given it has been the bastion of charlatans and scam artists. But there appears to be something real at work. Epistemologically, if a body of claimed knowledge provides predicting power, if it’s useful and pragmatic, then it suggests there’s some truth to it. Astrology is also a taxonomy—an arbitrary system of organizing phenomena for ease of use and comprehension in human life. The preceding article discusses astrology, providing food for thought about subtle influences. This information is helpful to contemplate because it is a topic of subtle and holistic connections, which is a topic close to the concept of the Creator and a creation made for a purpose. Additionally, because astrology is difficult to prove objectively, yet provides valid objective descriptions of reality, it is an excellent subject to study to expand one’s thinking and exercises holistic philosophy skills. With the ability to recognize subtle interconnected realities, one has the power to gain much wisdom and even approach Creator-consciousness if one maintains an open mind and a critical discerning eye.
