Self-Mastery and Sovereignty: Cures for Negative Egoism and Soul Sickness Self-Mastery and Sovereignty
When one does not know thyself, they become lost in a haze of social conformity and co-dependency, leading to negative self-talk and a mind sick with programs of disempowerment. But when one abandons the shallowness of a society diseased with limited consciousness, a restoration of inner-peace can begin. Self-mastery emerges when the mind has been reclaimed and the inner work of unconditionally loving the self takes hold. Those trapped by the ego react defensively to one on the self-mastery path in an effort to ensnare them back into the flock of the disempowered. But eventually self-mastered inspiration overwhelms social pressure and freedom from self-destructive conformity is born—along with a desire to service all with unselfish love and the wisdom of a mastered consciousness.
